For most of us, the computer desk has long turned into a workplace where a person spends many hours every day. Not only our productivity, but sometimes also our health depends on the convenience and comfort of organizing this place – this can be influenced by factors such as the height of the tabletop, the presence of a shelf for the keyboard, additional connectors and sockets. Of course, a desk specially designed for a computer like from VASAGLE will perform its functions better, so let’s look at what points you should pay attention to when choosing.

Form factor

Tables can have different shapes to better fit into a specific place in the interior:

  • Straight – a regular flat tabletop; tables of this format are simply placed against the wall.
  • Corner – designed for installation in a corner, thus saving space.
  • Combined – tables that combine the two previous form factors. As a rule, they are more likely to be needed as an extension of the workplace, when several areas or a large countertop surface are needed.

Additional shelves

Computer desk with shelves is also mainly the prerogative. Its shelves can be used not only for papers and office equipment, but also for a speaker system or for some peripherals. The shelves can be located both under the tabletop and above.

Tabletop height

Most computer desks have a tabletop height above the floor close to the standard 75 cm – this is convenient for most people. Depending on the height and ability to adjust the height of the chair on which the person is sitting, tables higher than 80 cm can be considered. Tables higher than 80 cm are usually intended for standing work. The tabletop height is no less important for correct posture than the chair.
